Simplee Women’s Winter Casual Long Sleeved Open Front Long Knit Cardigan Sweater

Very Cute and Cozy Crochet-Knit Gray Cardigan

This review is specifically for the Gray3 option, which is the cardigan with the crochet knit pattern.

The cute cardigan by Simplee has a cozy and fuzzy feel to it. The yarn used is all acrylic and is a mélange of heather gray. There are two large pockets on the front where you can stick your hands in for warmth. It has a nice drape to it that is effectively pictured when worn by the model in the listing.

The crochet knit pattern of the cardigan does mean that the material has some largish holes between each knit. This kind of pattern allows for the material to get snagged quite easily and form loose ends or discrepancies after much use. Although the cardigan looks stylish and very cute, I don’t think it’s made to be durable or to last for a long time. I’m actually quite hesitant to wash it because it looks like it may fall apart or just lose its pattern after several washes.

As a cardigan though, it is very warm and cozy and I like wearing it at home in the mornings. It looks very nice with some chic-style clothing underneath. It has no buttons but it drapes very nicely when worn. That being said, there are already several loose snags on the material at arrival.

Simplee Women’s Winter Faux Suede Fleece Jacket/Coat

Very warm thick faux suede, faux lamb fleece lining

This winter jacket coat by Simplee is quite cute and is ideal for cold weather. The jacket is really thick and warm, especially with the thick faux lamb fleece lining. The exterior of the jacket is faux suede and is smooth and soft. The style of the jacket is like a winter bomber jacket with a large flared collar.

That being said, I think the description is slightly off. I just wanted to clarify that the material of this jacket is entirely polyester with no cotton or actual lamb wool fleece material. I do think the inner fleece lining can be itchy and scratchy. I also found that the zipper occasionally gets caught onto the lining so just be careful when you’re zipping up.

A detachable belt is included with the jacket, but I found that the belt gets in the way and prefer the jacket without the belt. Overall, I feel that this jacket is quite substantial with thick material. I like the khaki/camel color and the contrast of white and khaki. I’m not usually a huge fan of 100% polyester, but the faux suede feels quite real and the fleece lining has that thick wool feeling.

Hifeos Packable Down Jacket (Puffer Jacket)

Super Lightweight and Attractive Down Feather Jacket for Cool Days

The weather is getting cooler where I live, especially during the mornings. Since I’m a fan of the puffer jacket due to its lightweight down feather construction and its ability to retain and insulate body heat without being stifling, I thought it would be good to get a guy version for my brother during the winter months.

There are so many down jackets on Amazon so I bought this based on the positive reviews. I decided to get the navy blue in small, and I am glad I did. The sizing runs pretty large and I think the sizes are made for larger-sized guys. The small fit my brother who is normally a medium-large in US men’s shirts. Definitely follow the sizing guidelines in the photo description and not using Amazon sizing guidelines.

The navy blue is exactly like the photos and looks great. It’s a neutral dark color that is attractively unisex, although I guess the darker color usually means its more “masculine.” I noticed that the female down jacket equivalents are usually brighter in color.

The jacket quality itself is satisfactory. The zipper doesn’t snag or catch and the sleeves have a closed band to prevent color air from creeping on your wrists. The jacket doesn’t include a detachable hood, unfortunately, but it’s not a deal breaker for me because it doesn’t rain much where we live. The material is pretty much comparable to other down jackets I own with the smooth nylon material and the inner down/feathers material. It is enough to keep warm. The puffer jacket sports two zippered pockets on the front as well as inner breast pockets. It also includes a drawstring bag for storage and travel although I do prefer to hang it out normally.

The only qualm I have, of course, like I have with all down jackets, is the odd initial odor that comes from the combination of bird/duck down feathers and factory nylon. The jacket really needs to be de-odorized and hung up for a while to get rid of the worst of the smell. Washing the jacket just brings back the smell. I suggest using something like Febr*eze or a cologne/perfume to either get rid of the smell or mask it. It does tend to get better over time.
