The Ozeri Touch Bath Scale is a very nice and modern looking scale that looks good in your home with additional features that many would find helpful. I received this scale for testing and an honest review.
I’ve tried a friend’s scale that also measures body fat, hydration, muscle, and bone mass, and I was very impressed by the additional features. It can be such a handy tool to gauge your progress and improvements of body condition during weight loss. I compared the readings from this Ozeri Touch scale with the ones from my friend’s well reviewed scale and the results were nearly identical, it seems they use a similar algorithm and are similarly reliable. For myself, the measurements have been consistent with no wild fluctuations or anomalies.
The scale automatically turns on when you step onto it and after taking your weight the scale proceeds to calculate your body fat, hydration, muscle, and bone mass. This only takes a few seconds and the results are automatically cycled through while giving you enough time to record the results if you wish. There is also a useful tare feature if you are trying to weigh an infant or something else in addition to yourself. I feel that with all these features the price of the scale is very reasonable and affordable.
The included instruction booklet does a good job at teaching you the basics of setting up and using the scale. It is easy and intuitive to set up the profiles for each user and you can store up to 8 users in the memory. There is a button on the back of the scale to change the units of measuring from lbs, kg, and stones. The scale turns off automatically after some time of inactivity.
The scale takes two CR2032 batteries which are included, these batteries are common and cheap to replace. The surface of the scale is made from thick, high quality tempered glass and it feels very well made with some heft to it. There are no loose or poorly fitting parts, it feels solid with no squeaks or noise during use. The glass is easy to clean and maintain with a damp cloth and maybe a little cleaning solution.
I have been trying to lose weight in recent months and this scale in addition to healthier eating and increased exercise is a great tool to aid in that quest. Keep records and track your long term progress to keep yourself motivated! I would recommend this scale to others also in pursuit of weight loss and a healthier self.
